Bills of fare, index; xvi+696pp; lacks half-title.
According to Arnold Oxford, this book is on an entirely new plan. The daily bill of fare are for two course meals, with several dishes for each course. There are recipes given for the dishes. This is presumably the fare offered to the Duke of Buckingham and his guests at his country house Stowe, as such gives an indication of the foods which were available at the different times of year. The book is dedicated to Mrs Thomas, Hotel, Berkeley Square.
